Receiving

SmartBox

A managed ADS-B receiver for your airport, installed by your own technical staff with Dataero remote support.

Some airports sit in a coverage gap: low traffic, hills, or simply no enthusiast nearby with a receiver. The SmartBox closes that gap with a receiver placed at the airport itself.

Your technical staff mount the antenna and connect the box, following Dataero's instructions and with our remote support. From then on Dataero monitors it and keeps it up to date.

What it brings

  • Installed by your team

A short checklist for your technical staff, and Dataero on the line remotely while they do it.

  • Simple connectivity

It needs internet access and makes outbound connections only. No inbound port to open on your network.

  • Monitored and updated remotely

Dataero watches its health and delivers signed software updates. If the box is ever replaced, its identity and history carry over.

  • Feeds every app

What the SmartBox hears goes straight into the network, your movement board and your statistics.

Questions

Does Dataero come on site to install it?

No. Your own technical staff install it, with Dataero remote support during and after the installation.

What does it need from our IT?

Power, a place for the antenna with a clear view of the sky, and internet access. All connections go out from the box; nothing comes in.
